📜 Tehichipa – Light Medium Roast
Before Tehachapi, there was Tehichipa—a town that stood still while the railroad curved away. This roast honors that quiet resilience, where adobe walls met canyon winds and time moved at the pace of hoof and wagon.
🌿 Origin Story:
This coffee comes from the Ichamama Factory, a washing station near Karima Hill in Nyeri, Kenya. Named after the Ichamama River, the station is part of the Othaya Farmer’s Cooperative Society, founded in the 1950s and now 15,000 members strong.
• Altitude: ~1750 meters
• Established: 1964, with nearly 1,000 farmer members
• Processing: Washed, using river water
Roast Level: Light–Medium
• Flavor Profile: Orange peel, dried cranberry, papaya, guava pastry, molasses, and mulling spice finish.
• Enjoy: Bright, juicy, and aromatic — perfect for mornings or cozy afternoons.
